Hollywood, California From the Walk of Fame to “Home Alone”
A star was presented to Macaulay Culkin on Hollywood Boulevard on Friday.
Culkin, now 43, became well-known in popular culture when he portrayed a young Kevin McCallister in the 1990 film “Home Alone” and its follow-up. Over the years, he kept playing low-key parts, and in 2021, he featured in the tenth season of the television show “American Horror Story”.
Catherine O’Hara, who portrayed his mother in the film “Home Alone,” honored her big-screen son on Friday by attending the ceremony on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“Thank you for including me, your fake Mom, who left you ‘Home Alone’ not once, but twice,” laughed O’Hara. “I am so proud.”
Culkin expressed gratitude to his seasoned advisors and colleagues who have supported him throughout his career when he was a little boy. On behalf of Culkin, actress Natasha Lyonne also spoke. Actress Brenda Song, Culkin’s partner, received a special shout-out from him as he walked the stage.
Culkin stated, “You’re the best person I’ve ever known,” “Family, you have given me a purpose. You are now among my top three favorite individuals, especially with the birth of our two sons.”
The star concluded his remarks by recalling a famous quote from the movie “Home Alone”: “Merry Christmas, you filthy animals.”
The 2,765th star on the well-known tourist destination is Culkin’s star.
