A free Nashville pop-up performance by Morgan Wallen is being held to mark the release of his album.

With the imminent release of his third studio album, One Thing at a Time, on March 3, Morgan Wallen is prepared to start his “MW3” period.

He just planned a free pop-up concert in Nashville, scheduled on the same day as his record release, where he would celebrate with roughly 20,000 of his admirers.

I’ll perform acoustically… Everyone keeps asking me why I won’t perform in Tennessee. I’m doing one right now,” Wallen informed his online followers.

Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville exclusively accepts in-person ticket reservations, with a limit of two tickets per person. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. on Friday for the in-the-round performance, which begins at 7:30 p.m.

Wallen’s performance at Bridgestone will also serve as a victorious homecoming for him, since he sold out three straight performances there on his 2022 Dangerous Tour. More than 100 weeks after its debut, Dangerous: The Double Album is still in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 as he prepares for One Thing at a Time (out via/Republic/Mercury).

For the first time since 2019, Wallen just topped all five Billboard country charts concurrently, making him one of only three musicians to achieve that feat (the other two being Luke Combs and Kane Brown).

Wallen and producer Joey Moi collaborated on the 36-track One Thing at a Time album, which has so far seen the release of nine tracks.

The “You Evidence” singer recently admitted to Billboard that they worked on the album for four months in the studio, even though they had no plans to add more songs than the 30 on Dangerous. Instead, she said, “the songs just sort of organically poured in.”

Moi said, “It felt like the more we chopped, the more songs would come out. Thus, the mess simply kept building. He said that the track list was formerly reduced from 42 tracks.

The new album includes all of Wallen’s inspirations, including hip-hop, alternative, and country music. The country star’s younger sister Ashlyne sings harmony on the song “Outlook” on the family-friendly album.

We’ve always been really close, according to Wallen. We learned to sing three-part harmony and other things while growing up in the church, including hymns.
