In addition, Blink-182 will be releasing a brand-new song on Friday titled “Edging.”
Tom DeLonge, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker, who make up Blink-182, are reuniting for their first tour in in ten years.
When the band shared a video of people getting pumped up about their impending tour on Twitter, they let their followers know that they will be visiting their hometowns.
Additionally, Blink-182 revealed that a brand-new song titled “Edging” would be released on Friday.
For the first time in ten years, Barker, Hoppus, and DeLonge have entered the studio together to record their brand-new song.
Beginning in March 2023 and continuing through February 2024, Blink-182 will make stops in Latin America, North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. They’ll be accompanied on their tours by other musicians like Turnstile, Rise Against, The Story So Far, and Wallows.
This tour is noteworthy for the group because DeLonge, who left Blink-182 in 2015, is returning home.
DeLonge reportedly stated that he wants to travel to “transform the world for my kids and everyone else’s.” Since that time, Matt Skiba, the lead singer of the rock group Alkaline Trio, has taken his place in Blink-182, and he has been touring with his other band, Angels & Airwaves.
In the interim, Hoppus has been penning a book about his experience with cancer, and Barker has been recording music with artists like Machine Gun Kelly and Avril Lavigne.
DeLonge claims he has no regrets about leaving Blink-182, despite the fact that he wasn’t a part of the band for the two most recent albums, “NINE” and “California,” released in 2016 and 2019, respectively.
In fact, he admitted to Rolling Stone in 2019 that he believes they will play together once more “definitely.”
