The engagement between Avril Lavigne and Mod Sun has ended.
The separation was confirmed by the “Sk8er Boi” singer’s representatives to Page Six on Tuesday.
Mod Sun, 35, seemed to be surprised by the breakup.
According to his spokesperson, “if anything has changed, that’s news to him,” since “they were together and engaged as of three days ago” when he went for tour.
We are informed that the “Karma” singer, who is presently on tour, has no intention of slowing down despite seeming to be taken by surprise.
His representative continues, “The concert will go on tonight, tomorrow, and throughout the remainder of the tour.
According to reports, the former couple experienced problems in recent months that led to many breaks and reconciliations until they decided to call it quits permanently.
Cheating was not the reason for the breakup, claims TMZ.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Lavigne, 38, and Mod Sun looked to be getting along as they both still follow one another on social media.
The information was released only a few days after Lavigne was seen making love to rapper Tyga at Nobu in Malibu, California, on a weekend.
The “Complicated” singer was seen embracing the 33-year-old rapper from “Rack City,” which led to rumours about her connection with Mod Sun.
At the time, sources told TMZ that Lavigne and Tyga had been spending a lot of time together recently, but it wasn’t clear whether they were romantically involved.
It is unclear exactly when Lavigne made the decision to end her romance with Mod Sun.
After dating for more than a year, the “My Happy Ending” singer and the “Flames” singer got engaged in Paris in March 2022.
